UPDATE 12/25/23: I'M GONNA PISS AND SHIT AND BARF AND EXPLODE I GOT SPLINTER, IXNAY ON THE HOMBRE, AND AMERICANA FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!

WHO ARE THE OFFSPRING!?!?!?

SOURCE: dude just trust me i'm neurodivergent i find many small details about my interests all the time. like how i know everything about almost everything related to lapfox.

a fucking awesome band. personally i don't really keep track of the band member's names (not to sound weird, but to give you an idea i can just go "joe andrew zubin rob ross" when it comes to tally hall) because literally the only remaining original members are dexter and noodles lmao

originally founded as "manic subsidal" (i do not know what that means but it sounds sick) after dexter and a friend couldn't get into a concert in 1984 at garden grove in california, where there would just be radio silence in terms of releases until 1989 when they released the self titled album.

  1. self titled(1989)
  2. ignition (1992)

there seems to be an odd space between the self titled album and ignition.... AH! baghdad ep. it was released in 1991 and included the tracks: get it right, hey joe, baghdad, and the blurb

honestly i feel like just infodumping about other stuff i find interesting about the band. i wanted to give you a short intro before i started and tell you... "hey, there's more than just smash, americana, ixnay on the hombre, and rise and fall, rage and grace."

OTHER INFORMATION: i'm just infodumping random shit

according to this random interview with dexter i found, but do not have the link to or it's buried in my youtube playlists, "gone away" was inspired by a driveby that dexter experienced at an icecream shop/ very spotty memory on that but i feel like that's as accurate as it gets.

either dexter or noodles said this in an episode of the recent podcast (i think? has to have, i think the first episode,) that initially, they were in disbelief of getting popular (or yk'now didn't believe they had gone big?) until come out and play came on the radio at a restaraunt and people tapped to the rhythm. memory spotty on this too lol

weird al yankovic made a parody of pretty fly for a white guy "pretty fly for a rabbi" lol

my awesome cds. i'm gonna be getting splinter and ixnay on the hombre from my mom for christmas, currently attempting to convince my parents to buy me conspiracy of one and americana >:)
